Chief Master Sergeant Lewis E. Singleton is Superintendent of the 6th Medical Group, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. The overall group’s mission is to support the 6 AMW, USSOCOM, USCENTOM, including 62 coalition partner contingents and 39 tenant units with world-class prevention and health care services to DoD’s largest single catchment area for active duty, retirees, and their families totaling over 106,000 eligible beneficiaries.
Chief Singleton serves as the principle advisor to the 6th Medical Group Commander, four squadron commanders, and 620 personnel on all issues impacting staff morale, welfare, and health while sustaining operations in eight separate locations.
Chief Singleton grew up in Sumter, South Carolina where he entered the Air Force in 1982. His background includes various duties as a Security Policeman and Health Services Administration Manager with assignments in Virginia, Montana, Maryland, and Washington, DC. Chief Singleton also served overseas in the Republic of Korea and England, and deployed to Honduras in support of Operation Joint Task Force Bravo and Southwest Asia in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
