For those fo you who were deployed in 2009, the Hillsborough County Military Combat Grant may be for you - a little extra cash in your pocket, courtesy of Hillsborough County.  See if you're eligible HERE.

UPDATE: I just submitted my tax grant application - all forms are online, and you can verify your combat status with two months' LES's that show HFP/Tax Free status for the month.  Further, your property needs to show Homeowner's Exemption.

30 days (or less) from now I should get a nice little check from Hillsborough County in appreciation of my military service.

For those of you who have done this before, the Hillsborough VA Office has moved.  Maybe better for some, the main office is now located in Brandon, close to the tax collector's office.
